Goddess for all Seasons

Back by popular demand: This is a sample of how I come up with ideas. My son was eating the chips out of this very clever container and when I looked at it I thought immediately that it resembled the figure of a goddess so I made her up. You can get the container from the chips isle at your local grocery store.

Materials: 1 go snack chip empty container (remove label rinse and let dry) Few rocks, marbles small enough to fit inside container (you don’t need many just enough to weight the bottom to keep it from flipping over) Batting, polyester stuffing or cotton balls 3 oz worsted weight yarn Size H hook Marker (MARK BEGINNING OF ALL ROWS) Bottom: Row 1: ch 2, 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook Row 2: 2 sc in each sc (12 sc) Row 3: * 1 sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc repeat from * around (18 sc) Row 4: *1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc repeat from * around (24 sc) Row 5: *1 sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc repeat from * around (30 sc) Row 6: sl st into 1st sc, ch 1 sc in back loop only around Rows 7 to 20: work even (or sc in each sc) slip crocheted piece onto container. I think Fall is starting to show up for most of us and that means we need to get our Goddess decorated for this season. I used a multi color thread but please use what ever color you would like to. It is crocheted in one continuous strand that you can make longer or shorter. I wrapped it around starting from the bottom and worked my way up. The thread seems to cling to the yarn making it easy to just drape it any way you want to.
